LIPOSUCTION
Some men have a lack of body definition due to accumulations of fat located in specific areas. These accumulations appear due to lack of exercise, eating habits, hereditary characteristics or endocrine disorders. These areas can be molded by a liposuction procedure. Liposuction represents the most performed cosmetic surgical procedure in the world, due to its safety and effectiveness when performed by expert personnel.
PURPOSE OF THE PROCEDURE
Liposuction is the surgical procedure that seeks to mold the body contour by extracting fat in areas where it is in excess and by injecting it into areas where there is a deficiency, improving the fat distribution in the body giving it proportion and defining its silhouette.
Liposuction is used to shape localized fat in: abdomen, back, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, arms, chest, face and neck.
If you are unhappy with some fatty accumulations in certain parts of your body, which have not responded to diet or exercise, liposuction may be a good option.
SURGICAL TECHNIQUE
Liposuction is performed under sedation or general anesthesia depending on the area to be treated and the amount of fat to be removed. Small incisions are made that are hidden in the marks of the underwear. A solution is injected that reduces bleeding and facilitates the aspiration of fat. Using a negative pressure system, excess fat is sucked out and, if necessary, it is injected into the areas where there is deficiency.
RECOVERY
After the procedure, inflammation of the treated area is normal and bruises may occur. They usually disappear after three weeks. It is a procedure that requires a full rest of 2 to 4 days. After that period of time you can restart your work activities without physical effort. You should wear an elastic belt for a period of 6 weeks to promote adhesion of the skin.
