FRONTOPLASTY

The forehead occupies the entire upper third of the face and is closely related to the eyebrows, which provide much of the expression in the gestures we perform. Over the years more prominent wrinkles appear on the forehead and there is a progressive decrease of the eyebrows, giving the face an aspect of aging.

PURPOSE OF THE PROCEDURE

Frontoplasty or rejuvenation of the forehead is the surgical procedure that seeks to reduce the lines of expression that appear in the frontal region and reposition the eyebrows naturally to give the face a youthful and renewed appearance.

SURGICAL TECHNIQUE

Frontoplasty is performed under general anesthesia, through small incisions located in the scalp which will be hidden under the hair. Through these incisions, a dissection of the soft tissues of the forehead is performed under endoscopic vision. Subsequently, the tissues of the forehead, the eyebrows and the periorbital region are raised, fixing them in their new position by means of sutures or absorbable devices. At the end of the procedure, the wounds are dealt with the fine sutures, the scars hidden in the natural folds of each person.

RECOVERY

The average disability time is 10 days. After performing the frontoplasty you will notice a slight inflammation in the area of ​​the forehead and it is possible that ecchymoses (purples) appear in the frontal region and on the eyelids, these will gradually decrease for which the use of local cold intermittently, in addition to the analgesics and anti-inflammatories that will be formulated.
